Krystal Grossmith:
Having grown up in a military household, Krystal has lived all over the US. Her first experience abroad was when she spent a summer during high school studying at Oxford University in the UK, and from that time onward was determined to make international affairs a key part of her life. Krystal later attended UC Berkeley, where she had the opportunity to study abroad in Lyon, France for one academic year.
Krystal started her career in business development for a small management consulting firm that specialized in global team building and cross-cultural communication best practices. Her clients included Fortune 500 multinational firms seeking to develop and improve operations within global markets, particularly within the Asia-Pacific region. This exposure to international business prodded her to move overseas to Japan, as she sought to develop her professional skills in a totally foreign context. During her almost four years in Japan, Krystal developed client servicing skills while recruiting senior level sales and marketing candidates for foreign capital and domestic firms.
Krystal has traveled extensively throughout Asia, and will return to France next year for her study abroad at ESSEC. Her long-term career interest is in global business development and strategy, with a special interest in bridging her experiences in France and Japan. In her free time, Krystal enjoys wine tasting, traveling, reading, and learning new languages.
Marie Hoegh-Guldberg:
Marie is a first-year student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Marie grew up in Bordeaux in a wine family-business. Before coming to Chicago Booth, she worked in paris at KPMG Corporate Finance in the Mergers & Acquisitions dedicated team after she graduated in Finance from La Sorbonne University.
In her free time, Marie enjoys running and playing tennis
Fred Jallifier-Merlon
Frederic is a first-year student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Frederic grew up in Tahiti and Gabon. He has worked in Financial Services in Munich for more than two years and as a management consultant at Accenture in Paris for three years. In his free time, Frederic enjoys playing tennis, scuba diving and traveling.
Ali Jetha:
Ali is a first-year student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Ali grew up in Paris, making the most of what the city had to offer! However, during the winter holidays, he skied down the Alps and sunbathed in Nice over the summer. Before coming to Chicago Booth, he worked in management consulting for Arthur D. Little following his Chemical Engineering studies at Imperial College, London. Ali speaks fluent French and previously worked in Europe, North Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East.
Yvan Nasr:
Yvan Nasr is specializing in Strategic Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship. After graduating from the University of Washington (Seattle) in 2004, Yvan spent 3 years in London driving the corporate strategy of one of Europe’s largest retail holding – Kingfisher plc. Yvan also spent 2 years in Istanbul (Turkey) where he successfully led the commercial strategy and integration of Kingfisher’s most recent joint venture and then a year in Asia developing Kingfisher’s global sourcing strategy. In his spare time, Yvan enjoys cooking, snowboarding, deep-sea fishing and playing Texas hold’em.
Gila Vadnai-Tolub:
Gila’s concentrations at Booth are Entrepreneurship, Managerial & Organizational Behavior and Strategic Management. Gila grew up in Paris, France and moved to New York to ger her Bachelor Degree from Adelphi University. Before coming to Booth, she worked for 5 years as a Training and Change Management Consultant and spent two years in a non-profit organization. This summer, she will be interning with McKinsey & Company, in the Chicago office. Gila is also co-chair of Mothers@Booth and enjoys spending her free time discovering Chicago with her husband and two children.
